Native flower of Mexico, has been distilled for use in perfumery since the 17th century, when the flower was first transported to Europe.

Till this day is used for the perfumes in Europe, sometimes mixed with other flowers.

In India and Bangladesh they are widely used in making flower garlands which are offered to the gods or used as wedding ornaments.

In Mexico, they were used for funerals but now are used for any occasion. 

In Indonesia, tuberose flowers are also used in cooking.[6]

It is a specific flower, but the ones who know it love the fragrance.
