Quiet, in White

White phalaenopsis orchids rest against cream garden roses, white anemones with their dark centers, and clouds of Queen Anne's lace. The palette holds to white throughout, so the interest comes from texture and from the way white shifts in changing light.

Send it when words are difficult. It carries condolence without announcing it, and it sits as well on a mantel as at a service.

Arranged in a hand-textured ivory vessel, finished in our Upper West Side studio.

Phalaenopsis Orchid, Garden Rose, Anemone, Hydrangea

Hydrangea and anemones are heavy drinkers, so top up with cool water daily. If the hydrangea softens, submerge the head in cool water for 20 minutes to revive it. Keep out of direct sun.
