Our New Store Is Coming to 155 West 70th Street

There is a Coming Soon sign on the corner of 70th and Broadway. It is ours.

Alaric Flower Design is opening a street-level store at 155 West 70th Street. We have designed flowers for New York since 2006, and for all of that time we have done it from a studio — a working room, reached by appointment, built for making arrangements rather than for receiving people. The new address changes that. For the first time, the Upper West Side will have an Alaric it can walk into.

Where it is

155 West 70th Street, on the Broadway corner. Three blocks north of Lincoln Center, a short walk from the 72nd Street express stop, and in the middle of the neighborhood we have been delivering to for twenty years. If you have ever had flowers from us on the Upper West Side, they were designed a few streets from where you live. That does not change — it just becomes visible.

What is happening right now

The windows are papered and the fit-out is underway. The store is closed to visitors until it is finished, so please do not come to the door yet — there is nothing to see but drop cloths, and no one out front to take an order.

What is not changing

Nothing about how you order, and nothing about when your flowers arrive. We are working from our temporary space and every order is running exactly as it was:

• Orders by phone and online, Monday to Sunday
• Delivery seven days a week
• Same-day delivery across Manhattan when you order by 2pm ET
• Hours 9:00am to 6:00pm, to 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday unless arranged in advance

Weddings, events and corporate work are all continuing on their normal schedule. If you have an order in the book, nothing about it has moved.

The grand opening

We will announce an opening date once the work is done, along with what the store will hold and what you will be able to do there. If you would rather hear it from us than from the sidewalk, the simplest thing is to order once between now and then — we will tell our customers first.
