The Holiday of Flowers
Shavuot is one of the most floral Jewish holidays. The tradition of decorating synagogues and homes with flowers and greenery — symbolizing Mount Sinai blooming when the Torah was given — makes the entire holiday a floral moment. At Alaric Flower Design, we hand-design Shavuot arrangements from our Upper West Side studio: white peonies, garden roses, lilies, and elegant greenery, delivered same-day across Manhattan and to covered Brooklyn neighborhoods.
What to send
- White and cream bouquets for the holiday table — peonies, garden roses, lilies, hydrangeas. Pair beautifully with dairy meal decor.
- Synagogue installations for the bima or aron kodesh — larger scale, scented, designed to last through the two days of yom tov.
- Host gifts for those invited to first-night or second-day meals — smaller arrangements in the $100–$200 range.
When to order
- Manhattan same-day: order by 2pm ET on Sunday May 22.
- Brooklyn (covered neighborhoods): 1–2 days ahead.
- Synagogue installations: 5–7 days ahead so we can coordinate with the venue's facilities manager.
