Father's Day 2026 is Sunday, June 21. A short NYC gift guide.
Why most Father's Day flowers miss
Most Father's Day floral options online are soft-pastel bouquets that read as feminine — a default-floral aesthetic aimed at the wrong recipient. The Dads who appreciate flowers tend to be the same people who appreciate good design generally: clean lines, restrained palettes, considered objects. A bouquet that would land well for Mother's Day or a birthday rarely translates. That's the opportunity. A bold, architectural arrangement — orchids, structural greenery, sculptural blooms — reads as a deliberate, design-led gift rather than a default floral choice. The cost of being thoughtful is choosing the right palette: bold and restrained, never twee. From our Upper West Side studio at 54 W 70th Street, this is the lens we apply to every Father's Day order.
What works for Dad
Three categories outperform soft-pastel bouquets for male recipients: orchids (long-lasting, architectural, never sentimental); structural arrangements with strong lines (tall greenery, protea, anthurium, clean vessels); and Designer's Choice in a restrained palette (whites, greens, deep burgundies). Avoid soft pinks, pastels, and mixed wildflower styles unless you specifically know he'll like them. Pair the arrangement with champagne, single malt, or chocolates and you've built a complete gift that sidesteps the cliché.

Same-day Manhattan delivery on Sunday, June 21 requires orders placed by 2pm ET. For Sunday morning delivery, order by 2pm ET on Saturday, June 20. Brooklyn (covered neighborhoods) orders need 1–2 days notice. Orchid plants sometimes sell out close to the holiday — order by Thursday June 18 for the best chance of getting the exact stem you want. Call (212) 308-3794 with questions.
How much to spend
Most clients spend $150–$300. An orchid plant ($175) bridges "thoughtful" and "considered" without veering over-the-top. Architectural arrangements like Aurora ($100) work as a graphic statement for a desk or console. Larger sculptural designs and custom Designer's Choice scale to $500+ if you want to make a real moment of it — champagne or chocolate pairings are easy to add from there. Manhattan delivery is a flat $20; Brooklyn covered neighborhoods are $25–35.
Frequently asked questions
Are flowers actually a good Father's Day gift?
Yes — when matched to the recipient. The Dads who notice good design generally appreciate a well-designed arrangement. Match the design to him: bold lines, restrained palettes, architectural blooms (orchids, protea, anthurium) rather than soft pastel bouquets.
Can I send a Father's Day arrangement to an office?
Yes. Manhattan office delivery is straightforward. For offices that close on weekends, we recommend Friday June 19 delivery. Include the recipient's full name, floor, suite number, and a contact phone for the lobby.
What's the cutoff for same-day delivery?
2pm ET for same-day Manhattan delivery on Father's Day (Sunday June 21). For Sunday morning delivery, order by 2pm ET on Saturday June 20. Brooklyn orders need 1–2 days notice.
Can I pair the flowers with champagne or chocolates?
Yes. Call us at (212) 308-3794 and we can arrange coordinated delivery with a partner vendor. The combination of a well-designed arrangement plus a thoughtful pairing is one of the strongest Father's Day gifts you can send.
